Greenwich student Yvonne receives a double honour on graduation day

Events Management student Yvonne Chen enjoyed a particularly special graduation day at the University of Greenwich.

As well as receiving her postgraduate degree, Yvonne, from Taiwan, was awarded the 2011 Corporate Media Associates Limited prize for the best dissertation among students on the MA Events Management programme.

Yvonne’s prize was handed over by Bari Malik, Managing Director of CMA, and Mr Karl Kuan Hua Lee, Cultural Attaché, Taiwan Embassy, who made a special visit to the Greenwich Campus to attend Yvonne’s graduation ceremony and help celebrate her success.

2012 CMA Prize Awarded to Fleur van Gramberg

Events Management student Fleur van Gramberg enjoyed a very special graduation day at the University of Greenwich. As well as receiving a BA (Hons) in Events Management, Fleur was awarded the 2012 Corporate Media Associates Limited Prize for the best dissertation among students on the undergraduate Events Management programme.

Fleur’s prize was announced at the University of Greenwich’s Graduation Ceremony held at the Old Royal Naval College Maritime Campus. It was handed over on behalf of Bari Malik, Managing Director of CMA by Programme Leader & Senior Lecturer Emma Abson who said “Fleur had a brilliant idea for her dissertation. She set out with quiet determination and dedication to complete the project using her academic insight and keen eye for industry detail. She whole-heartedly deserves this award.”

Bahria University win HEC Zone C Varsity Hockey Championships

The HEC Zone C Varsity Hockey Championships co-sponsored by CMA was won by hosts Bahria University.

The top 6 teams in the Zone C Division took part in was a hard fought competition. Former Olympian, Pakistan Team Captain & National Hockey Coach, Mr Shahnaz Shaikh was the Chief Guest of  Honour at the Opening Ceremony and initiated the proceedings by striking the opening shot. He later also kindly spent some time with the students discussing the importance of sports in personal development.

Bahria University defeated the NUST University in the finals by score 3-0. At the final Mr. Khawaja Junaid, National Hockey Team Coach presented the CMA Cup to Bahria University.
